as for getting people to your site, I go with the whole 'compliment other people on their bios/music/photos' which usually gets a response, and then its just a matter of keeping them coming back, either by offering them something or keeping the converation going. so what's the music scene like in newcastle? i've played there a couple of times and noticed quite a lot going on.
